Adv. Yashomati Thakur

Speaking at a public platform where she watched the short film ‘Swamaan Se’, the honourable Minister for Woman and Child Develelopment, Adv. Yashomati Thakur said, “The short film, ‘Swamaan Se’ has been made really well. The subject of domestic violence has been presented extremely well and very sensitively in this film. I felt stunned for a moment after watching this film. The protagonist in the film is going through this (domestic abuse) for more than 6 years until her daughter is 6 years old after which she decides to speak up against it. We see this happening in real life in many good families and homes. Each woman going through this needs to speak up the very first time an incident like this happens”

To say I was happy in choosing Aparajit Productions would be an under-statement! They went beyond my expectation with delivery well within the stipulated time and that too with the final outcome that was beyond par.

This short film was highly appreciated Pan India and it hit the right target of awakening every viewer to the fact that we have to be more alert and diligent in stopping Domestic Abuse when ever and where ever we hear/see it happening.

I would highly recommend Aparaji Production as I found their service to be very proficient & professional with no hassle and I do hope we get to work together soon again.

My best wishes to Deepti and her team”

“During my term as Chairperson of FICCI Flo Pune Chapter we decided to leave a permanent mark by highlighting an important prevalent social issue.

After a lot of deliberation and brain-storming, the topic of ‘Domestic Violence’ was decided upon as we felt that this issue needs to be shown more light and brought to the notice of people more tangibly, as it was on the rise not only in the lower income groups but even upper middle class families especially during the lock-down pandemic times with tempers flaring and irritation on the rise.

We then decided to approach Deepti Ghatge of Aparajit Production for the making of this short film.

To say I was happy in choosing them would be an under-statement! They went beyond my expectation with delivery well within the stipulated time and that too with the final outcome that was beyond par.

Award winning writer / director

Dan Turner

“I taught Deepti at the London Film Academy a few years ago and was immediately struck by how she is a wonderful balance of talent and a high work ethic, not something you always encounter in a film student.
Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious and I knew right away she was destined for greatness in filmmaking, but also as someone who I would love to work with one day.

I have followed her career since and I am continually impressed at her tenacity and creativity as a filmmaker.”

Dan shot his first feature film Experiment in the Czech Republic. The film went on to win 17 film festival awards and was distributed around the world. Since then Dan has made an award-winning multi-platform drama series Girl Number 9, the Edinburgh Film Festival favorite Stormhouse. and worked with Shoreline Entertainment on an adaptation of best selling novel Spanky.

“I found Deepti to be extremely meticulous and disciplined and perhaps this is why her entire crew was also working in a methodical manner. There was no mismanagement or chaos anywhere like we often find on film shoot and so it feels good to work on such a production. I generally don’t work with new production houses until I am convinced of their work. But when I met Deepti, I was sure that she will do a good job. In Marathi, we have a saying that the way a king is, so will be his subjects and in most film shoots this is what you get to see. The film crew works in the manner that the director or producer works. And perhaps this is why Deepti’s entire team worked in a methodical and disciplined way. What I liked about her was also that she had worked out in detail, scene by scene, the character’s mood, where the character comes from, and where he is going. So, by the time i came on the set, i was already clear about everything. I had a great time working with Aparajit Productions.

Gashmeer Mahajani is an Indian actor who has done several popular feature films like Carry On Maratha, Deool Band, hit TV serials like Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit, Imlie and web series Shrikant Bashir.

“I really liked the script written by Deepti Ma’am. On her set all of us actors were looked after very well and a lot of care was taken while shooting in these Covid times. The script was wonderfully woven around a normal family living in Covid times without making it sound like a message. The whole production followed the safety norms and it was a wonderful experience working with Aparajit Productions
